New images added

The weather has been less that cooperative, so I have spent the day working on some image data that i actually forgot i had.

I have added NGC 7293 – Helix Nebula, it was taken with the PlayerOne Artemis-M, on the FF130 refractor. I had played around with this data before but never really be that happy with the results… Until today. I have added this to the Nebulae gallery, below is a quick look, but if you want to view the hires version, duck over to the gallery.

NGC 7923 - Helix Nebula (Planetary)
NGC 7293 aka Helix Nebula, is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Aquarius. This planetary nebula is one of the closest of all the bright planetary nebulae to Earth. At about 655 light-years away, it is similar in appearance to the Cat’s Eye Nebula and the Ring Nebula. The Helix Nebula has sometimes been referred to as the “Eye of God”

I finally got around to doing up the images for NGC300, this data was ok, not great, but have added it to the galaxy gallery. As mentioned earlier, its either been raining, moonie. or really high cloud, all of which makes for rubbish astrophotography ! Any how below is a sample of NGC 300.

NGC 300 - Sculptor Pinwheel Galaxy
NGC 300 (also known as Sculptor Pinwheel Galaxy) is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Sculptor. It is the brightest of the five main spirals in the direction of the Sculptor Group
