Last night was finally a decent night to take photos, but no good for Deep Space as there was this rather bright glowing crescent lighting up the sky, so i thought, for an experiment i would take some images at 0.0001 of sec of the moon, and try and process this in PixInsight.
I usually use video frames to do this on a OSC (One Shot Colour) ASI585mc (un-cooled) and then process this outside of Pixinsight. I’m glad i gave this a shot, i think the result has more depth and not so “Flat” looking.

I was really pleased with the result, and the Alpine Valley looks great. this was taken with the reducer in the scope, which brings it down the F/5.6 from F/7.7. – You can see the full image in the “Solar System Gallery”.
